Diamond, CharlieCharlie Diamond

Charlie Diamond graduated from UC Berkeley in 2013 with a B.S. in Environmental Economics & Policy and minor degree in Geography. While at UC Berkeley, Charlie worked with the Building Sustainability @ Cal program on energy audits and energy efficiency retrofits in campus buildings. He later worked for two years with The Nature Conservancy before coming to the Bren School to pursue a Master’s degree. Charlie is interested in climate change as well as water policy in California, and hopes to pursue a career in the golden state related to these interests. Email

Evan Ritzinger

Evan Ritzinger graduated Cum Laude from Boston University with a B.A. in Environmental Science and a minor in Economics. After graduating, Evan developed a professional profile including a summer conducting field research with Boston University, and roughly a year and a half performing audits for a Massachusetts-based sustainable energy company. Evan is particularly interested in creating a more sustainable world, and is dual concentrating in Conservation Planning and Energy & Climate while pursuing a Master of Environmental Science and Management degree at Bren. Email


Lydia_v1Lydia Rudnick

Lydia Rudnick graduated from Princeton University in 2013 with a B.A. in Geosciences and a certificate in Environmental Studies. After she completed her undergraduate work, Lydia taught English at a university in northern Thailand through a fellowship with Princeton in Asia. She then went on to work in Government Relations at Scripps Institution of Oceanography where she helped ensure the presence of federal funds for ocean, climate, and earth science related research. At Bren, Lydia is specializing in Corporate Environmental Management, with an emphasis on energy, and is a Teacher’s Assistant in the Environmental Studies Department at UCSB. Email

Tellez, Dawnielle

Dawnielle Tellez

Dawnielle Tellez graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Environmental Studies. Dawnielle previously worked in the solar industry where she was inspired by public-private partnerships achieving energy efficiency management and innovative policies. At the Bren School, she is pursuing a Master’s in Environmental Science and Management with a focus in Energy, Climate, and Strategic Environmental Communications. She is also a 2016 EDF Climate Corps Fellow working on energy efficiency and employee engagement at a technology hardware manufacturer. She plans to pursue a sustainability and communications career in the energy field upon graduation. Email

Emily PhotoEmily Waddington

Emily received her B.A. in Biology from Boston University and found herself participating in a whole array of different environmental opportunities before coming to Bren including laboratory work, teaching, advocacy, and entrepreneurship. Emily is studying pollution prevention at The Bren School, where she hopes to combine her passion for science to help create solutions to foster sustainable food systems and fight climate change. Email
